Questions and Answers
Q. Do we need a fishing license?
A. Yes, you will need a valid fishing license the day of your charter. Your license can be purchased on-line by clicking on the DNR link on this website. For those of you that will be fishing for Walleye or Perch in Lake Erie you will need to contact us the day before your charter to find out if you will need a Michigan or an Ohio License.
Q. Do you supply fishing equipment or do we have to bring our own?
A. We supply all fishing baits and tackle.
Q. Do you clean the fish we catch?
A. Fish cleaning is available at no charge for Walleye and Salmon. You will need to bring a cooler to take your catch home in. Those doing a Perch charter can have your catch cleaned at one of the local fish cleaning facilities for a nominal fee.
Q. Can we bring food and drinks on the boat?
A. Yes. You can bring whatever you want to eat and drink onboard. You can bring beer (cans only) in moderation, no hard liquor please. I ask that you bring only one cooler with your food and beverages due to limited space on the back of the boat.
Q. Can I bring my Medical Marijuana on the charter?
A. NO! As a Coast Guard Licensed Captain, “Possession of illegal drugs – no matter the quantity – aboard the charter vessel is PROHIBITED by federal law. The captain will report ALL illegal drugs to the proper authorities.”
Q. Are my children too young for a charter?
A. We do many family charters and enjoy children of all ages. In fact, some of our customers have been with us for years and we have been able to watch the kids grow into adults, now they bring their children. State law requires that children 6 and under must wear a life jacket at all times during the charter.
Q. Is there a bathroom on the boat?
A. We have a walk-in, fully enclosed head for your comfort.
